What is 5 Element Food Therapy?

Based on the 5 Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 5 Element Food Therapy (5EFT) employs a holistic nutritional approach to health and healing for companion animals.

The 5 Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine organizes all natural phenomena into five groups - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each of these groups, or elements, corresponds to various organs and functions of the body, and the interconnected relationships between them. Humans and animals alike experience health issues when an imbalance occurs between the elements. 

By taking into consideration the Elements corresponding to naturally occurring foods, 5EFT has created a variety of healthy and delicious recipes designed to help adjust and maintain balance in your pet’s system through supplements to their regular daily diet. All of 5EFT’s products have been authorized by Certified Holistic Veterinarian, Dr. Anne Reed.
